Experience has proved that the life of the seal ring is the best when the surface roughness of Ra is 0.2-0.5um. If the surface of the shaft has spiral processing marks, it has the role of a screw pump, when the direction of the spiral is consistent with the direction of the shaft (from the end of the shaft), it will leak, the more serious the speed, so try to avoid.

Second, the radial oscillation of the shaft surface is small, and the higher the oil seal is, the better the following. If the hole of the oil seal of the oil press does not coincide with the rotation center of the shaft, the compression amount of the tape everywhere in the oil seal circle will vary, affecting the sealing effect. The allowable value of radial oscillation on the surface of the shaft seal is related to the speed and diameter of the shaft, the higher the speed, the smaller the allowable value, and the larger the diameter, which can be determined according to the guidance of the oil seal manufacturer, generally less than 0.1-0.2mm.
